BIOSKETCH

Marta Izquierdo got her Ph.D at Edimburgh University (UK) and leads a research group at the Centro de Biología Molecular Severo Ochoa. She is a Professor of Molecular Biology combining research and academic duties at the Autonomous University of Madrid (UAM). Her main present interest is to develop new approaches to glioblastoma cancer therapies. She has published over 50 papers in specialized international journals and is the sole author of 4 books, one related to cancer and the others about genetic engineering and gene transfer.
